When Munsch upgraded their legacy PBX system to a VoIP system they wanted to fix the frustrating problem of billable calls that required manual reconciliation and resulted in lost revenue. The legacy system allowed for the entry of client/matter codes for long distance calls, but once the code was entered, there was no way to fix an incorrect digit unless the long distance number was redialed. Additionally the legacy system accepted any client/matter number entered, without validation. CallTrack PRO imports client/matter codes from our accounting software and verifies the user entered the correct code, said Chuck Balash, Director of Information Systems at Munsch Hardt. We no longer have to go back to users to get the right client/matter code when it was entered incorrectly. This not only saves time for our administrative staff but also billable attorney time.

Along with CallTrack PRO, LiteScape’s legal solution includes OnCast, which gives professional firms the ability to search and dial across multiple sites and view Presence availability before making a call. The OnCast Client feature simplifies collaboration with a one-click feature to initiate or join a conference call. OnCast can also be used to broadcast to individuals or groups for multi-media training to increase productivity or to send emergency alerts to create a safer work environment.

As Munch Hardt wanted to offer users a desktop click-to-dial capability with their IP phones, they are testing the LiteScape OnCast Client feature. The product creates a phone directory from the Firm’s Global Address Book, along with the users’ personal contacts. In addition to click-to-dial from this directory, Munsch Hardt is testing OnCast’s ability to dial from within Microsoft Outlook and within web pages.
