Senior Software Engineer for Start-Up Company

Position summary:
Location: Redwood Shores , CA

Type: Permanent, Full-time
The engineer works on tasks associated with the design, architecture, development, and maintenance, of LiteScape’s application software.

Reporting:
The Senior Software Engineer reports to the Manager of application software development.

Role:
Design, development, and maintenance of unified real time communication applications using open and standard technology.

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of development experience
Development using .NET 2.0, C#, ASP.NET, XML, WinForms, WebForms, Web Services
Familiarity with using Service-oriented architecture (SOA)
Strong Object Oriented design and implementation skills
Excellent communication and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functional groups; written and verbal skills.
Candidates need be passionate about customer needs and be prepared to work in a fast paced start-up environment.

Desirable Skills and experience:
Development experience with TCP/IP, LDAP, SQL, .NET Framework 3.0/3.5
Familiarity with developing Smart Clients
Experience working with teams of software engineers in real-time telephony/web/database application development environments.
Experience developing Mobile phone applications
Prior and long-term experience in early stage (start-up) high-tech markets
Experience working with Asterisk, Broadsoft, Sylantro (or any VOIP IP-PBX system)

Education requirements:
BS in computer science, computer information systems, math or equivalent required.
