Management Team

LiteScape is lead by a team of seasoned professionals with extensive experience in the telecom and wireless industry as well as a proven track record for building successful companies.

Farzad Naimi, Chairman, CEO and President
Farzad Naimi is a serial entrepreneur and a co-founder of LiteScape Technologies. Farzad brings 21 years of successful Silicon Valley startup leadership to the company and is responsible for leading the LiteScape team and managing its strategic direction.

Farzad started his high-tech career at a start up, Centex Telemanagement, as the head of Technology, and led Centex to its IPO, which preceded its subsequent acquisition by MCI. He continued his career as Executive Vice President and COO at Prestige International, Japan's largest Customer Relationship Management organization that later had a successful IPO in Japan. Farzad was a co-founder of Genesys Labs, a leader in delivering real-time customer interaction software solutions to medium- and large-sized businesses, that went public and was subsequently acquired by Alcatel for $1.6 billion. He participated in a successful start up, VisaNet do Brazil, funded by Visa International and four major banks in Brazil. VisaNet do Brazil has become the largest e-commerce and retail banking group in Latin America and one of the most profitable companies in Brazil. Farzad has been the co-founder and chairman of several other companies including IQLabs, an enterprise software company specializing in real time IT infrastructure provisioning and management, and Sentek, a profitable global system integrator with clients such as American Express, Master Card, Visa and major financial institutions.

As a member of adjunct faculty at Golden Gate University, Farzad taught MBA courses in its School of Industry and Technology. Farzad is actively involved with Entrepreneurship Programs at Stanford University and National University of Singapore.

Vladimir Kamen, Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer
Vladimir Kamen is a co-founder and responsible for leading the design of LiteScape’s products. Vlad brings more than two decades of experience in enterprise software design and development to LiteScape with expert knowledge in computer telephony software design and development for distributed call centers, heterogeneous networking, cross-platform development, and real-time control system design. At Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Vlad oversaw the design and development of the Genesys Outbound Product Suite and was the chief architect of the company's suite of CRM and CTI applications including Campaign Manager, Call Center Manager and List Manager.
Prior to founding LiteScape, Vlad served as the CTO of IQ Labs, leading design and development of the software suite for centralized real-time management of enterprise communication infrastructure, and as the Vice President of Engineering for Emediate Networks where he designed and led the development efforts of an advanced speech recognition-based software system for intelligent voice interactions and call processing. Vlad began his career in Ukraine, as a professor and scientific consultant teaching mathematics and computer science at the State University of Dnepropetrovsk and as a senior staff scientist at the Mathematical Institute of Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
Vlad received his PhD, MS and BS in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the State University of Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. He also received a MBA in marketing from Golden Gate University, California.

Manoj Fernando, Co-founder, EVP of Business Development
Manoj Fernando is a co-founder of LiteScape and is responsible business development. Manoj was a co-founder and President of Circle24 Technologies, which was acquired by LiteScape in 2004. While at Circle24, Manoj identified several opportunities in the VoIP space and grew the company organically while establishing a solid relationship and brand name with Cisco Systems. Being one of the application pioneers in the VoIP space, Circle24 had several reference customers including Fortune 100 clients.
Manoj has more than 16 years experience in the high tech and software industries and has a proven track record in designing and implementing software solutions for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to founding Circle24, Manoj worked at Mosaix, Inc. where he headed up sales for the Asia Pacific Region. Lucent Technologies later acquired Mosaix. Manoj has also served as a CRM consultant working with leading companies in the U.S. and throughout Europe.
Manoj holds an MS in Telecommunications Management from Golden Gate University, California.

Rod Hamlin, EVP Sales and Marketing
Rod Hamlin owns worldwide sales and marketing activities for Litescape, leveraging over 19 years of experience in the enterprise, telecommunications, and wireless technology markets. Most recently, Rod was with JRG Software as vice president of sales where he was responsible for managing the company's global sales organization. JRG was acquired by CDC Software (Nasdaq: CHINA) in January of 2006. Rod joined JRG from Nuance Communications (Nasdaq: NUAN), the leading provider of speech-based solutions, where he was senior vice president responsible for the company's worldwide sales and professional services organizations.
In addition to holding senior executive positions with two public companies, Rod is a veteran of four start ups. Prior to Nuance, Rod was at ViAir, a wireless applications company, where he held the position of executive vice president of sales. Hamlin also held senior positions at Freei Networks, an Internet service provider that was acquired by NetZero, Onyx Software (Nasdaq: ONXS), a global supplier of customer relationship management (CRM) applications, and Saros Corporation, a content management solution provider which was acquired by FileNET Corporation. Rod began his career at IBM in 1988.
Rod holds a bachelors degree from Pacific Lutheran University, and attended the masters in business administration program at Seattle University.

Kayvan Alikhani, EVP of Product Management and Development.
Kayvan Alikhani is responsible for the roadmap design, management and development of all LiteScape products. With more than 10 years in software product development, Kayvan came to LiteScape from BeNotified Software, a communication solution provider. There he was the CTO and a co-founder who led the product management process of various turn-key communication systems. Prior to that, Kayvan was co-founder and VP of Engineering of AVIRNEX, a provider of enhanced communication services, where he focused exclusively on managing the development and production of various universal communication products.
Prior, Kayvan worked as a project manager, product manager and developer for various Microsoft and Siemens productivity, operating system and communication products targeted for international markets.
Kayvan has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Tehran University.
